It could've simply been a look that said,
"I see you, what you're dealing with, and you're handling it awesomely."
Or, “I see you, what you’ve been working on, and you’ve done it awesomely.”

About Stephanie
THE BACKSTORY
My best friend is one of my biggest cheerleaders. Years ago, on one of my toughest days, she made me see how extraordinary I was to be juggling everything successfully even though I was stressed out of my mind. In a weird way, this gave me comfort. At that time, I’d never given myself much credit or taken a minute to acknowledge myself for achieving anything. I’d just pass it off as no big deal or beat myself up for not doing better. But that day, my best friend showed me who I really was. I felt so seen and valued.
I wanted to be able to give back to her and everyone else who struggled like I did. Those people who were trying to make a difference for themselves and others, and acknowledge them for it.
Shortly after, Team Awesome was born.
I believe we all have something to contribute, that we are all awesome, and we can learn from everyone we meet. The little things that people do for others and feel are insignificant are really big things to the people receiving them. There are so many people out there doing such great things, going through struggles, and are doing awesomely despite it all.
I want them to know I see them and they matter.
This was my story and I think many people have experienced something similar. They don't feel noticed, appreciated, recognized, or seen in any area of their lives. They don’t believe their voice matters. And they don't ever share this with people because they are afraid of not looking good, being vulnerable, and feel like they come off as weak. It’s time to start a new conversation for caring and connecting with others and it starts here.
